Seenit Wins Startup Battlefield at TechCrunch

Seenit, the app and platform which helps brands and organisations co-create video with employees, fans, journalists and experts from around the world, has been awarded the Disrupt Cup at this week’s TechCrunch Disrupt London 2016’s Startup Battlefield, fighting off competition from around the world.

The Startup Battlefield is an annual competition held by TechCrunch which aims to identify the world’s most exciting early stage start-ups with the winner being awarded a prize of $50,000.

Previous winners have included the likes of Dropbox and Yammer, who have gone on to become tech unicorns, illustrating the high calibre of entries.

Out of the 14 companies that made it to the Battlefield, Seenit was one of six finalists who spent two days pitching to various technology experts and venture capitalists, with their final demonstration being presented to the competition’s judging panel, which included Barbara Belvisi of Hardware Club, Accel’s Luciana Lixandru, Sean O’Sullivan of SOSV, TechCrunch editor-in-chief Matthew Panzarino and Francesca Warner of Downing Partners.

The prize money will bolster their existing expansion plans and enable them to grow their 18-strong team to 19 employees. Furthermore, Seenit have announced that video search is coming out of beta and onto our platform, allowing users to search sentiment analysis, transcription and object recognition.

The award tops off a stellar year for Seenit who have achieved a number of awards such as the BT Sport Innovation Award, and CEO Emily Forbes was named as one of’s ‘Young Guns’, which identifies the top CEOs at fledgling companies to watch over the next twelve months. 

Seenit count the BBC, Red Bull Racing, Benefit and Unilever amongst their clients and the TechCrunch Disrupt Award is a reinforcement of why leading businesses are using Seenit’s innovative offering.
